Citrine
Illuminating the Path of Joy and Abundance
Citrine feels like sunlight held in my hands and solar plexus. Citrine energy is warm, bright and unapologetically radiant.
I reach for citrine when I need to remember my own brilliance. When doubt creeps in like fog, or when I feel the edge of a breakthrough calling me forward. Citrine doesn’t whisper. It glows. It pulses with clarity and purpose. It reminds me that joy is not frivolous. It’s a frequency. Abundance isn’t a reward. It’s a rhythm. A steady, golden current I choose to align with, not chase.
It’s one of my go-to crystals for nervous system regulation, especially when I feel energetically scattered or emotionally raw. When I’m holding more than I realize or unraveling something deep, Citrine brings me back to center. Its warmth speaks to my body in a language that soothes without silencing. It helps me move with the emotion, not against it.
I carry Citrine when I need to be seen. When I want to remember that I can take up space without apology. That my presence is sacred. That radiance doesn’t make me fragile—it makes me free.
This stone doesn’t just work for me. It works with me. It meets me at the threshold of my willpower and co-creates every next level of my life with confidence, vitality, and purpose. I don’t force anything with Citrine. I listen. I feel. I allow. And things begin to move.
Doors open. Energy flows. The fog clears.
When I hold Citrine, I remember who I am beyond scarcity, beyond striving, beyond the version of me that forgets her own power. This is the frequency of enoughness. Of golden, grounded yes. And I welcome it, again and again.
Crystal Wisdom in the Body and Spirit
Citrine flows straight to my solar plexus. I feel it warm my belly and spine like sunlight alive inside me. When my breath shortens or my body tenses from too much noise, Citrine reminds me to soften. To expand. To trust that safety begins with my own rhythm.
This crystal regulates me. When my nervous system feels like it’s spinning, Citrine slows everything down. It grounds me in my breath, holds space for my emotions, and helps me feel what’s true without being overwhelmed. I don’t have to armor up. I get to exhale.
Citrine fuels my confidence and strengthens my boundaries without hardening me. I tap into it when I’m building something bold or reclaiming a part of myself I once gave away. It doesn’t demand action—it awakens alignment. It says, You already carry the light. Now let it lead.
My Sun and Venus sit side by side in Aquarius in the third house. I live through communication, through ideas, through liberated expression. Sometimes that energy pulls me into my mind, detaches me from my body. Citrine brings me back. It roots my vision. It helps me speak from clarity instead of urgency, and move forward without needing to explain everything first.
In Vedic astrology, my Sun and Venus move into Capricorn in the second house. That’s ancestral structure, sacred voice, earned value. That placement holds both discipline and pressure. Citrine softens the grind. It reminds me I don’t have to prove anything to receive. I build my legacy with joy, not just labor.
Both placements carry Saturn’s signature—one lifts, one grounds. One reinvents, one remembers. Citrine supports the dance between them. It lets me hold the paradox: radiant and steady. Expansive and anchored.
I place Citrine on my body when I need to move emotion, when I’m speaking truth into the world, or when I’m claiming space in silence. I don’t wait for permission. I let the energy move. I let the gold rise in me. Citrine reminds me who I am… fully, freely and right now.
Placement with Purpose
I place Citrine where I want energy to move forward. Where I need clarity, joy, and ease to enter with intention. This crystal lives at thresholds in my life—my front door, my desk, my altar. Each spot holds a different purpose, but they all speak the same language: invitation.
By the front door, Citrine becomes a beacon. Citrine welcomes in prosperity, warmth, and aligned flow. I place it there to bless every exit and every return.
At my desk, Citrine sharpens my focus and amplifies my creativity. It helps me show up fully in my work without overthinking or holding back. When I’m writing or building something new, I place Citrine near my tools—my laptop, my notebooks, my vision boards. It reminds me that my ideas have value and my voice has power.
On my altar, Citrine holds prayers I haven’t spoken aloud yet. It radiates on the days I feel quiet and keeps me company when I need to listen before I move. Some mornings I sit with it and say nothing. Just presence. Just warmth. That’s enough.
When I feel called to bring abundance into my business, I place Citrine near my offerings, digital or physical. It blesses the flow of exchange and helps me stay in gratitude with every transaction. Not just the money—but the meaning behind it.
I also carry Citrine into the bedroom when I need to sleep with intention. I set it near my heart or hold it during breathwork before bed. That placement helps me process the day and recalibrate without carrying tension into tomorrow.
I listen for when it wants to move. Sometimes it asks to be in the bath. Sometimes in my bag. I don’t follow a strict schedule. I trust the energy. Citrine teaches me to listen, then place. Place with purpose. Place with love. Place with clarity.
Each position becomes a ritual. Each move becomes a prayer.
Gridwork and Intention Weaving
When I create a grid with Citrine, I’m shaping energy and speaking to the unseen by arranging the crystals.
The most consistent layout I use is my abundance grid—simple, powerful, alive. I place four Citrine points at the corners of my home, angled inward, with one stone like Clear Quartz at the center to anchor it all. As I walk through the space, I feel the field humming. It doesn’t feel loud. It feels held. Clear. Supported.
I don’t need perfect symmetry for the grid to work. What activates it is intention. I touch each stone and speak gratitude. I affirm what’s ready to grow. I move as if it’s already here.
Some days I add herbs, coins, or handwritten desires under the center crystal. Cinnamon for magnetic pull. Bay leaf for clarity. A note that says ease in expansion. The grid becomes a living altar, not just decoration.
When I want something more fluid and visual, I build a wealth bowl. I choose a vessel that feels good in my hands, then fill it with Citrine, gold coins, aventurine, and elements that represent flow. That bowl lives on a shelf I see daily. I don’t always interact with it, but it works in the background—an energetic reminder that I am supported.
I’ve even made mini grids on my body, placing small Citrine pieces on my solar plexus, crown, and palms during meditation. That configuration helps me recalibrate and recharge my will without pushing myself. Sometimes I draw symbols or grid lines directly onto my skin using body-safe tattoo markers—especially when I need to anchor the energy more deeply.
These marks become portals, affirmations, and energetic instructions. They remind my body of what it already knows: I am the altar. I am the field. I am the source of what I seek. This practice supports me most when I’m preparing for a new launch, visioning my next offering, or calling in aligned clients. It brings me back to my center and helps the work flow from truth instead of urgency.
Every grid begins with intention. Every placement becomes a message. Citrine doesn’t ask me to get it right. It asks me to show up with clarity and trust what flows from there.
Ways I Work with the Energy
I don’t use Citrine the same way every time. I let it meet me where I am. Some days it’s in my palm. Other days it’s in my bra, on my altar, or next to my journal. Each placement holds a different frequency, and every moment tells me what I need.
When I’m moving through resistance, I carry a small piece of Citrine in my pocket or tucked into my waistband. It reminds me to breathe into my power instead of powering through. I reach for it when I feel heavy or self-doubt creeps in. It helps shift the current without needing to fix anything.
During writing or creative work, I keep Citrine near my laptop. I don’t just want productivity. I want aligned brilliance. Citrine helps me tap into that flow—the kind that doesn’t deplete me, the kind that feels like I’m creating from my core, not performing.
I work with Citrine in ritual by pairing it with oils, herbs, or color. Sometimes I anoint it with sweet orange or clove and place it at the center of a candle grid. Other times I light a yellow candle and hold Citrine in both hands while speaking affirmations out loud. It’s not about perfection. It’s about resonance.
I place Citrine on my solar plexus when I’m feeling off balance—when I need to reset after conflict, shake off imposter energy, or come back into my center after pouring too much out. The warmth of the stone on my skin feels like a recalibration. I feel myself settle.
In the bath, I keep Citrine nearby (not submerged) while soaking in salt and herbs. That setup clears energy while also calling in joy and clarity. It’s a cleanse and an invitation in one.
I also pair Citrine with breathwork. I hold it in one hand, place my other hand over my heart, and let my body guide the breath. Citrine steadies my pace and helps me listen to my inner voice without judgment or rush.
I always begin with the same quiet question: What energy am I ready to embody right now? Then I let Citrine show me.
Seeing the Energy
When I close my eyes and tune into Citrine, I don’t just see yellow. I feel movement. I see golden light swirling at my center—alive, fluid, and radiant.
It doesn’t flash or burst. It pours. Slow and steady like honey, warm like sunlight resting on skin. That light doesn’t stay in one place. It expands. It reaches my chest, wraps around my hips, fills my throat with courage, and radiates out through my fingertips.
This is what Citrine teaches me. Expansion without urgency. Brilliance without burnout. Clarity without sharpness.
Sometimes I visualize the energy as a golden spiral, turning clockwise through my solar plexus. Other times it flows like rays from the sun, pulsing outward in every direction. When I’m stuck in my head, this visualization drops me into my body. When I’m feeling dim, it reminds me how much light I already carry.
If I’m guiding someone through a visualization, I invite them to see themselves surrounded by golden light—soft, glimmering, pulsing with ease. I ask them to breathe it in through the belly and exhale anything that feels heavy. Just that alone can shift the entire field.
I also bring the color yellow into my environment when I’m deep in manifestation work. A scarf, a sticky note, a yellow bowl on my altar that all speaks the same language. It all helps my body remember: abundance begins in frequency, not form.
The energy of Citrine is not sharp or hard. It’s not forceful. It’s nourishing. It brings me into my fullness without demanding I become someone else to receive.
Citrine energy says: You are the light. You’ve always been the light. Let yourself shine.
Clearing and Caring
I treat Citrine like a living energy, not just a tool. It supports me, so I support it. That’s the relationship. That’s the agreement.
When Citrine feels dull or disconnected, I don’t ignore it. I listen. I clear. I recharge. I bring it back into alignment with the same care I offer myself.
Citrine responds well to sunlight and early morning is best. I place it on a windowsill for a couple of hours, just long enough to restore its golden frequency without fading the color. I never leave it out all day. It doesn’t need intensity to recharge. It needs intention.
Smoke clearing is part of my regular rhythm, especially when I’ve used Citrine during energy work or emotional release. I wave palo santo or incense over it while speaking gratitude. I ask the stone to release what it no longer needs to carry and to return to its original frequency.
Sometimes I bury Citrine in herbs or earth overnight. That method feels especially potent when I’ve been doing shadow work or deep emotional integration. I wrap the stone in a cloth and place it in soil or in a bowl of cleansing herbs like rosemary, basil, and lemongrass. When I retrieve it, the energy feels renewed—calm, bright, open.
I don’t use water unless I’m absolutely sure the Citrine can handle it. Even then, I use a quick rinse and never a soak. I avoid salt or anything abrasive. Respecting the material is part of respecting the spirit.
I also pause before using Citrine in ritual. I hold it. I breathe with it. I check in. Is this the right moment? Is this the right frequency? I wait for a yes that feels clear.
Words That Anchor the Work
When I speak into Citrine, I speak from my belly. From my knowing, from my will. I let the words rise up from my core like heat, like light.
I don’t force the affirmations to sound perfect. I speak what feels true in the moment. I let the energy move through me and land where it needs to. Here are some of the declarations I return to often, especially when I’m calling in joy, clarity, and overflow:
💛 I am already aligned with my abundance. I trust the flow.
💛 I move with purpose, not pressure. I shine because it’s my nature.
💛 I speak my vision into existence. I build it with joy and clarity.
💛 I honor my inner fire. It guides me, protects me, and fuels me.
💛 I receive with ease. I create from enoughness. I lead with light.
I speak these aloud while holding Citrine in my hand or placing it on my solar plexus. Sometimes I write them on sticky notes and place them near my mirror, my wallet, or my journal. I also let them evolve. What I need to say today might not be what I need tomorrow.
Affirmations don’t work because we repeat them like scripts. They work when we feel them. When we let them shift our posture, our breath, our frequency.
Speak from your body. Speak from your power. Let Citrine echo it back to you.
Rooted and Ready
Citrine continues to walk with me—not just when I’m manifesting or creating, but in the quiet moments too. It reminds me that I don’t have to wait for things to fall apart to realign. I can choose clarity now. I can choose joy now.
This crystal holds the energy of growth without force. Confidence without performance. Radiance without apology. It teaches me how to honor my nervous system while expanding. How to welcome abundance without burning out.
Citrine stays near when I’m deep in visioning. It travels with me when I step into new spaces. It anchors me when my body says slow down, and it energizes me when my spirit says go. That’s the balance I live for. That’s what this golden light helps me remember.
If Citrine is calling to you, follow that pull. Let it be a mirror. Let it be a companion. Let it help you reclaim the parts of yourself that already know how to shine.
And if you feel ready to go deeper—to move through stuckness, regulate your energy, or step into the next version of yourself—I’m here. You can work with me through 1:1 sessions, guided support, or energetic attunement.
