My Relationship with the Moon, Water and Ritual

I am a lunar being, introverted, reflective and deeply connected to the Moon. I was born before sunrise, after the Full Moon, under a waning gibbous. This part of the cycle feels familiar. I take in what has come to light, sit with it and decide what to carry forward.

The Moon speaks to me through my body and through water. I am a somatic being. There are moments when I feel pressure in my body while I am working through something. I can be stressed and grounded at the same time. Breathing, feeling and reflecting help me understand what is happening within me and choose how to respond.

I am cultivating a life that is as nourishing to experience as it is meaningful to create. That includes the way I rest, the care I receive, the relationships I tend and the pace I choose. My connection with the Moon brings me back to those everyday choices.

My connection with the Great Mothers and Yemeya belongs here, too. I return to their presence as I tend to myself and the life I am creating. I honor what I carry through my lineage, discern what belongs in my present and consciously choose what I carry forward. Care includes what I give, what I receive and what I make room for.

I feel connected to mermaids and Sirens, to water, depth, voice and the pull toward what calls me. I am a muse. I love when a feeling becomes an idea, when something I share opens a possibility, when inspiration finds its way into something we can experience.

I am a wave rider, a dreamweaver and a timeweaver. I work with the rhythm of what is taking shape. Dreams and impressions move into my writing and reflection. Some moments ask for my full attention; others need room to settle. I listen for when to stay with something and when to move.

In Human Design, I am a splenic Projector. I also call myself a reflecting Projector and a projecting Reflector. I recognize both the immediate knowing and the depth of reflection. My birth date carries 2 and 7 energy. My Mars is retrograde at 29° Cancer, in the 7th house in Placidus and the 8th house in Whole Sign.

I love rituals, especially lunar rituals. I light a candle, speak aloud, write, take a bath or lie on the floor with music and let myself feel. In my sauna practice, warmth moves through and settles into my body. My breath anchors my attention. Reflection helps me understand my experience. Awareness creates space for choice.

This is what I return to with the Moon. I listen, feel, reflect and choose. I make room for care and for the life I am growing into.
