Finding Your Purpose with a Black Spiritual Practitioner
There may come a time when the life you have built no longer feels fully connected to who you are becoming. Your priorities may be shifting. A familiar role may feel too small. You may feel drawn toward something meaningful without knowing what that looks like yet.
You don’t need a clear answer to begin exploring those feelings.
Peace be upon you, beautiful souls. I’m Shaani, the woman behind Healing through Visions. As a Black woman, a neurodistinct person and a spiritual practitioner who identifies as a shaman and mystic, I bring my lived experience into the way I listen, connect and guide.
My work creates space for you to explore your inner wisdom, deepen your relationship with yourself and consider what a purposeful life means to you.
Purpose in Everyday Life
Purpose takes shape through the choices you make, the relationships you nurture, the boundaries you honor and the ways you express yourself.
You may recognize it when you return to a creative practice you have missed. It might emerge as you speak honestly about a need, make room for rest or choose a direction that reflects your values.
Some seasons invite exploration. Others ask you to pause, release or reconsider. Your understanding of purpose may change as you learn more about yourself and the life you want to live.
Spiritual guidance offers space to notice those changes and explore them with support.
My Identity and Practice
Being a Black, neurodistinct woman is part of how I experience the world. It shapes my perspective, my questions and the care I bring to my work.
I know the value of having room to express yourself without being expected to fit someone else’s understanding of who you should be. That awareness informs my commitment to listening with compassion and respecting the complexity of each person’s experience.
Your culture, identity, beliefs and personal history may influence how you relate to spirituality. They may also shape what you need to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing experiences or receiving guidance.
Those parts of you are welcome in our conversations. You decide what you wish to share and what feels meaningful to explore.
I welcome people across backgrounds, identities and spiritual paths. Our work begins with mutual respect and a connection that feels appropriate for both of us.
Honoring Neurodiversity
If you are neurodistinct, you may have your own ways of processing information, communicating, experiencing your senses or connecting with spiritual practices.
My lived experience helps me appreciate that people need different rhythms and approaches. What feels grounding to one person may feel distracting or overwhelming to another.
You are welcome to share preferences that support your participation, such as having time to process a question, receiving a clearer explanation or discussing how a practice feels for you. We’ll explore what is workable within the session.
Your curiosity, your questions and the way you experience the world belong in your spiritual journey.
My Guiding Values
Authenticity, compassion and empowerment remain at the heart of Healing through Visions. These values shape how I approach our work.
Authenticity means making room for what is true for you. Uncertainty, conflicting feelings and changing beliefs are welcome. Our conversations begin with where you are today.
Compassion means respecting your experience and your pace. Growth may bring relief, discomfort, insight or a need to pause. I approach what arises with care and curiosity.
Empowerment means supporting your discernment. I offer guidance and perspectives for you to consider. You remain the person who decides what resonates, what you want to explore and which actions fit your life.
My intention is to support a deeper relationship with your own knowing and your ability to make meaningful choices.
Exploring Your Purpose
At Healing through Visions, sessions are shaped around what you are bringing into the space.
Visionary Guidance offers space to explore a question, a transition, a dream or a pattern you want to understand more deeply. Intuitive conversation, dream interpretation and personalized ritual offer ways to reflect on your experience and consider possible next steps.
Energy Alignment invites you to reconnect with yourself using spiritual practices that create space for rest and reflection. Our conversation about your intentions helps shape an approach that feels appropriate for you.
You might arrive with a specific concern or simply a sense that something is changing. Either is a place to begin.
What emerges in a session may become part of everyday practice: a journal reflection, a boundary to consider, a ritual to revisit or one small action that supports what matters to you.
A Moment to Reflect
Give yourself a little space to consider these questions. Write your responses, speak them aloud or sit quietly with whichever one draws your attention.
- When do I feel most connected to myself?
- Which expectations am I carrying that I want to reconsider?
- What keeps asking for my attention?
- What would feel meaningful to make room for in this season?
- What kind of support would help me take my next step?
Choose one response and consider a manageable action. You might spend a few minutes creating, ask for support, protect time for rest or learn more about something that interests you.
Let the action be small enough to fit your life and meaningful enough to help you learn something about yourself.
Your Next Step
Your questions deserve room. Your experiences deserve care. Allow your exploration of purpose to unfold at a pace that gives you space to listen, reflect and choose.
If you would like support exploring your spiritual path, reconnecting with your inner wisdom or moving through a season of change, I invite you to explore Healing through Visions services or book a session.
Come with what you are carrying today. There is room here for your questions, your growth and the possibilities taking shape in your life.
